As someone who loves indulgence, thoughtful details, and a touch of heritage charm, these are my personal favourite hotels in Singapore. Whether you’re here to relax in serenity or soak in old-world glamour, these stays deliver a memorable experience with style.
1. Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa - A peaceful sanctuary with beach vibes and peacocks
This is my go-to when I want to escape the city without actually leaving the city. Located on a cliffside in Sentosa, this resort is surrounded by greenery and just a short walk down to Tanjong Beach Club or FOC, perfect for lazy, sun-soaked afternoons.
The rooms are plush and modern, with big comfy beds that you can melt into after a beach day. Bonus? You’ll spot resident peacocks strolling around the gardens - they’re friendly and are not afraid to come close to you, so have your cameras ready!
If you’re into golf, Sentosa Golf Club is just down the road.
Nearby food picks: Panamericana (grilled meats and cocktails with sunset views), The Cliff (Italian with sea breeze vibes).
2. Raffles Singapore - Iconic colonial luxury with modern tech and white-glove service
If you ask me, Raffles Hotel is the true luxury icon of Singapore - not Marina Bay Sands. Every room here is a suite, and once you enter, it’s hard to leave. From the gleaming dark wood floors to the crisp white linens and enormous all-marble bathrooms, the attention to detail is unmatched.
I love how they’ve seamlessly blended heritage charm with modern tech - think discreet in-room controls and personal butler service. I’ve stayed in many luxury hotels, but few feel as indulgent as this.
You’re also right in the heart of the city - but honestly, once you’re in, you won’t want to leave. And yes, this is where the Singapore Sling was invented in 1915 - have one at the Long Bar, just because.

Nearby food picks: The Masses (French flavours), Binomio (authentic Spanish), Madame Fan (for decadent Chinese in a glam setting).
3. The Fullerton Hotel Singapore - Riverside elegance with heritage charm and unbeatable location
Housed in a grand neoclassical building that once served as the General Post Office, the Fullerton is rich in Singapore history. But don’t let that fool you - the rooms are modern and luxe, with subtle Peranakan design touches that pay homage to local culture.
Its location is a dream - Boat Quay is right behind for riverside bars and nightlife, and you’re just steps from the Merlion, Clifford Pier, and the stunning Marina Bay views.
Take the Singapore River Cruise (on a bumboat!) from nearby and get a different perspective of the city.

Nearby food picks: Monti (Italian by the water), Jypsy (chic Japanese fusion), Molly Malone’s (yes, a pub — but I promise, best fish & chips in town), Aniba (modern Middle Eastern, great vibe).
