Sentosa Beach Day
A beach day in Sentosa doesn’t have to come with a hefty price tag. In fact, it can be completely free if you walk in via the Sentosa Boardwalk from VivoCity - a scenic stroll lined with greenery and travelators to make it easy.
Sentosa has three main beaches, each with its own vibe:
Palawan Beach - Great for families, with a suspension bridge to a small offshore island and play areas for kids.
Siloso Beach - The most vibrant, with beach bars, volleyball courts, and water sports.
Tanjong Beach - Quieter, with a chill, upscale atmosphere and home to Tanjong Beach Club.
Smart Spender Pick: Palawan Beach offers the perfect balance of fun and relaxation. You can lay out a mat, bring your own snacks, and enjoy the sun for free - or level up with a deck chair and a drink nearby.
Look out for the food truck area at Palawan Green - it’s a hidden gem serving delicious smashed burgers, bubble tea, and cold beers. Great for a casual beachside bite without breaking the bank.
Bonus: Try the Skyline Luge or stroll along the Beach Station trail for affordable adventures.
Tip: Download the MySentosa app to earn points, discover vouchers, and unlock exclusive perks — including free Island admission and other great deals.
MacRitchie Treetop Walk
If you love nature and outdoors, MacRitchie’s Treetop Walk is a must. This peaceful escape takes you on a hike through lush forest trails and leads to a suspension bridge that offers sweeping views above the jungle canopy - a rare experience in urban Singapore, and completely free.
Keep your eyes peeled for local wildlife like monkeys, squirrels, monitor lizards, and tropical birds along the way. It’s a refreshing way to connect with nature, but remember: don’t feed or approach the animals too closely - please admire from a distance and respect their space.
There are a few trail options depending on your energy level: 3km loop for a light stroll - 10km trail that includes the Treetop Walk (moderate) - 9.5km rugged loop for more experienced hikers.
You can check the official Central Catchment Nature Reserve trails for route info and updates before heading out.
Smart tip: Start early in the morning to avoid the heat and enjoy the quiet before the crowds arrive.
